- Conducting regular quality assurance checks and calibrations on medical equipment to ensure accurate and safe delivery of radiation therapy
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients using advanced technologies and techniques
- Implementing new technologies and treatment techniques to improve patient outcomes and ensure the most effective use of equipment
- Maintaining and updating knowledge of current industry standards and regulations related to medical physics
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for radiation safety to protect patients, staff, and the community
- Providing education and training to medical staff and other healthcare professionals on radiation safety and proper use of equipment
- Participating in research and quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of medical physics and improve patient care
- Maintaining accurate records of equipment maintenance, calibrations, and patient treatments
- Communicating effectively with patients and their families to explain treatment plans and address any concerns or questions
- Participating in on-call rotation for emergency situations and providing timely response and support as needed.
Master's Or Doctoral Degree In Medical Physics Or Related Field
Board Certification From The American Board Of Radiology (Abr) Or The American Board Of Medical Physics (Abmp)
Experience With Medical Imaging And Radiation Therapy Equipment And Technology
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements And Safety Protocols For Medical Radiation Use
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Data And Make Recommendations For Treatment Plans.
