  1. Perform a variety of laboratory tests and analyses accurately and efficiently.
  2. Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
  3. Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
  4. Collect and process patient samples in a timely and organized manner.
  5. Analyze and interpret test results, and report findings to healthcare providers.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests and procedures performed.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve instrument or assay issues as needed.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  9. Stay updated on new developments and advancements in medical laboratory science.
  10. Train and supervise laboratory assistants and new employees.
  11. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
  12. Adhere to all regulatory standards and guidelines.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  14. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers.
  15. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field: Candidates Must Possess At Least A Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls): Candidates Must Have A Valid Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist From A Recognized Organization, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or American Medical Technologists (Amt).

  • Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Equipment And Procedures: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Equipment, Techniques, And Procedures Used In A Clinical Setting, Including Automated Analyzers, Quality Control Measures, And Data Analysis.

  • Attention To Detail And Critical Thinking Skills: Medical Lab Scientists Must Have Excellent Attention To Detail And Critical Thinking Skills To Accurately Analyze And Interpret Test Results, Troubleshoot Issues, And Make Informed Decisions In A Fast-Paced Environment.
