  1. Perform various administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and completing insurance forms.
  2. Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  3. Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, accurately and efficiently.
  4. Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
  5. Provide patient education and instructions for at-home care.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including sterilization of medical equipment.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  8. Adhere to all HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
  9. Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed.
  10. Attend and participate in team meetings and trainings.
  11. Continuously update knowledge and skills through continuing education opportunities.
  12. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  13. Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  14. Display empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
  15. Adhere to all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant: A Medical Assistant Must Have Completed An Accredited Medical Assistant Program And Have Obtained Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama).

  • Specialization In Urology: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have Experience And Knowledge Specific To Urology, Including Understanding Of Urological Procedures And Terminology.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Health Records (Ehr): Orlando Health Utilizes Electronic Health Records, So Proficiency In Navigating And Documenting Patient Information In An Ehr System Is Essential.
