This role is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of mechanical circulatory support (MCS) for our outpatient cardiology department. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.   1. Coordinate and manage all aspects of mechanical circulatory support (MCS) for our outpatient cardiology department.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
  3. Assist in the evaluation and selection of appropriate MCS devices for patients.
  4. Monitor and review patient progress and make necessary adjustments to MCS treatment plan.
  5. Educate patients and their families on MCS devices and provide ongoing support and guidance.
  6. Collaborate with insurance companies and other third-party payers to ensure proper coverage for MCS treatments.
  7. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all MCS procedures, interventions, and outcomes.
  8. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and research in the field of MCS.
  9. Develop and implement protocols for the safe and effective use of MCS devices.
  10. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
  11. Serve as a resource for healthcare professionals regarding MCS protocols and procedures.
  12. Adhere to all relevant regulatory and compliance standards.
  13. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In Nursing Or A Related Field Is Essential For A Mcs Coordinator-Outpatient Cardiology Role At Orlando Health. This Will Provide The Necessary Foundation For Understanding The Complex Medical And Administrative Processes Involved In Coordinating Outpatient Cardiology Services.

  • Clinical Experience In Cardiology: Prior Experience Working In A Cardiology Setting, Preferably In An Outpatient Setting, Is A Key Qualification For This Role. Therefore, Proficiency In Using Emr Systems Is A Crucial Qualification For A Mcs Coordinator-Outpatient Cardiology. This Includes The Ability To Input, Retrieve, And Analyze Patient Data Accurately And Efficiently.

  • Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills: As A Mcs Coordinator-Outpatient Cardiology, One Will Be Responsible For Coordinating And Managing Multiple Tasks And Responsibilities Simultaneously.
