Job Description

Welcome to Orlando Health, a leading healthcare provider in Central Florida. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Patient Access to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our patient access team, ensuring efficient and accurate registration and scheduling processes for our patients. We are looking for a dynamic leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and has the ability to drive continuous improvement within the department.   1. Oversee the daily operations of the patient access team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and accuracy in the registration and scheduling processes for patients.
  3. Train, mentor, and supervise staff to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
  4. Monitor and analyze department performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to achieve departmental goals.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and ensure a seamless patient experience.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and compliance requirements to ensure the department is operating within legal guidelines.
  7. Address patient concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner, striving to maintain high levels of patient satisfaction.
  8. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to team members to foster their professional growth and development.
  9. Develop and maintain departmental budgets, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  10. Serve as a liaison between the patient access department and other departments within the organization to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  11. Stay informed about new technologies and best practices in patient access and implement them as appropriate to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
  12. Collaborate with the recruiting team to hire and onboard new staff members as needed.
  13. Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to the development and execution of organizational goals and initiatives.
  14. Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe and professional work environment.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work culture within the patient access team, promoting teamwork and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Patient Access Department.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Insurance Requirements.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Medical Record Systems And Patient Registration Software.
