
Manager of Patient Access - OHMG Access Center - Downtown Orlando
Welcome to Orlando Health Medical Group (OHMG) Access Center, where we strive to provide the highest quality of patient access services to our community. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead our patient access team at our Downtown Orlando location. As the Manager of Patient Access, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective operations of our patient access department. - Oversee and manage the daily operations of the patient access department at the Downtown Orlando location.
- Train, coach, and develop a team of patient access staff to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.
- Monitor and maintain the department's performance metrics, including patient satisfaction, wait times, and productivity.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with other departments and leadership to identify and implement process improvements to enhance the patient experience.
- Manage the scheduling and staffing of the patient access team to meet operational needs and maintain adequate coverage.
- Oversee the registration and verification of patient information, insurance coverage, and financial responsibility.
- Monitor insurance authorizations and ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Ensure timely and accurate resolution of patient inquiries, complaints, and issues.
- Implement and maintain effective communication strategies with patients, staff, and other departments to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in patient access and incorporate them into department operations.
- Collaborate with other managers and leaders to develop and implement departmental goals and objectives.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing feedback, and address any performance issues as needed.
- Serve as a role model for exceptional customer service and professional behavior.
- Represent the patient access department in meetings and committees as required.
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the patient access team.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Patient Access Management Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations And Compliance Standards, Such As Hipaa And Cms Guidelines.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team.
Proven Track Record Of Implementing Process Improvements And Achieving Operational Efficiency In A High-Volume Environment.
