Orlando Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager to oversee the operations of our Lab Section. As a Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Lab Section, while also supporting the overall goals and objectives of Orlando Health.   1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Lab Section, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow management.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
  3. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Lead and mentor a team of laboratory professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure a high level of performance and job satisfaction.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless integration and coordination of services.
  6. Manage the budget for the Lab Section, including monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in laboratory technology, and make recommendations for new equipment and processes to enhance operations.
  8. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.
  9. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting quality initiatives and encouraging staff to participate in process improvement projects.
  10. Serve as a liaison between the Lab Section and other departments, communicating any issues or concerns and working towards resolutions.
  11. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of laboratory results to support patient care.
  12. Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection control protocols and promoting a culture of safety within the Lab Section.
  13. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  14. Handle any patient or staff concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  15. Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the Lab Section.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Healthcare Administration, Laboratory Science, Or Business Management.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Laboratory Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Organization.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Operations, Including Safety Protocols, Quality Control Measures, And Regulatory Compliance.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Manage And Motivate A Team Of Laboratory Staff.

  • Ability To Analyze Data And Make Strategic Decisions To Improve Efficiency And Productivity Within The Lab Section Operations.
