- Negotiate and manage contracts with managed care organizations to ensure favorable reimbursement rates for services provided by Orlando Health.
- Develop and maintain relationships with managed care organizations to facilitate successful contract negotiations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in managed care principles to inform contract negotiations and ensure optimal reimbursement rates.
- Analyze and evaluate current contracts to identify areas for improvement and negotiate amendments to optimize reimbursement.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance and revenue management, to review and analyze contract terms and reimbursement rates.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and track contract performance and identify areas for improvement in order to achieve financial and operational goals.
- Communicate contract terms and changes to relevant departments and stakeholders within Orlando Health.
- Develop and maintain a database of managed care contracts and related documents.
- Conduct regular audits of managed care contracts to ensure accuracy and identify potential issues.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and other internal departments to resolve any contract disputes.
- Stay informed of changes in managed care laws and regulations to ensure compliance and inform contract negotiations.
- Prepare reports and presentations on contract performance and updates for senior management.
- Train and educate new employees on managed care principles and contract management processes.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline contract management and maximize reimbursement rates.
Strong Knowledge Of Managed Care Principles And Practices: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Managed Care Contracts And The Healthcare Industry, Including Reimbursement Methodologies, Provider Network Management, And Regulatory Compliance.
Experience In Contract Negotiation And Management: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Negotiating And Managing Contracts With Managed Care Organizations, Including Developing Pricing Models, Analyzing Contract Performance, And Resolving Disputes.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Managed Care Contract Manager, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Building And Maintaining Relationships With Key Stakeholders, Including Insurance Companies, Providers, And Internal Departments. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Effectively Negotiate Contracts And Manage Ongoing Relationships.
Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Review And Interpret Complex Data And Financial Reports Related To Managed Care Contracts. They Should Also Have The Ability To Identify And Resolve Issues That May Arise During Contract Negotiations Or Contract Performance.
