Welcome to the Winnie Palmer Imaging Center at Orlando Health, where we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play a critical role in performing mammography exams and providing accurate and timely results to assist in the early detection of breast cancer.   1. Perform mammography exams on patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly prepared and maintained for each exam.
  3. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients during their exams.
  4. Accurately record and maintain patient information and exam results.
  5. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely delivery of results.
  6. Educate patients on the importance of mammograms and early detection of breast cancer.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  8. Continuously update and improve knowledge and skills to stay current with advancements in mammography technology and techniques.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  10. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and satisfaction.
  11. Handle sensitive and confidential patient information with professionalism and discretion.
  12. Assist in the training and supervision of new technologists.
  13. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to established quality standards.
  15. Maintain accurate and complete records of all exams performed.
  16. Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
  17. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  18. Continuously strive to improve processes and efficiency within the department.
  19. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  20. Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the supervisor or department head.

Job Qualifications
  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Related Field.

  • Current Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In Mammography.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Mammography Technologist.

  • Knowledge Of Current Mammography Equipment, Techniques, And Safety Protocols.
