  1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients with neuro trauma injuries.
  2. Utilize advanced nursing skills and knowledge to assess, diagnose, and treat patients.
  3. Monitor and document patient progress, including vital signs, medication administration, and changes in condition.
  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  5. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  6. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  7. Implement and maintain infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
  8. Respond to emergencies and provide immediate and appropriate interventions.

  10. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in neuro trauma nursing.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  13. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  14. Maintain a safe and clean working environment for patients and staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Active Licensure: The First And Most Important Qualification For A Licensed Registered Nurse, Neuro Trauma Job At Orlando Health Is Having An Active Registered Nurse License In The State Of Florida. This Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Met The Educational And Competency Requirements To Practice Nursing In The State.

  • Neuro Trauma Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Neuro Trauma Setting. This Includes Experience With Patients Who Have Suffered Traumatic Brain Injuries, Spinal Cord Injuries, And Other Neurological Conditions. This Experience Ensures That The Nurse Is Familiar With The Specialized Care And Treatments Required For This Patient Population.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications Are Essential For A Neuro Trauma Nurse. These Certifications Show That The Nurse Is Trained In Emergency Care And Can Provide Life-Saving Interventions In Critical Situations.

  • Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills: Neuro Trauma Patients Require Complex And Often Unpredictable Care. As Such, A Licensed Registered Nurse, Neuro Trauma Must Possess Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills To Assess And Manage These Patients Effectively. This Includes The Ability To Quickly Adapt To Changing Patient Conditions And Make Sound Clinical Decisions.

  • Teamwork And Communication: Working In A Neuro Trauma Unit Requires Collaboration And Effective Communication With A Multidisciplinary Team Of Healthcare Professionals. A Successful Candidate Should Possess Strong Teamwork And Communication Skills To Coordinate Care, Delegate Tasks, And Communicate Patient Needs And Updates To The Team.
