
Licensed Practical Nurse Antepartum

- Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to expectant mothers in the Antepartum unit.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the overall well-being and safety of both mother and baby.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess patient status, including vital signs, fetal heart rate, and uterine contractions.
- Educate patients and their families on prenatal care, childbirth, and postpartum care.
- Assist with labor and delivery procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families during pregnancy and childbirth.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care for patients.
- Keep up-to-date with current trends and practices in maternity and women's health.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional and caring demeanor at all times.
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards set forth by the nursing profession.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.

Current Lpn License In The State Of Florida: The First And Most Important Qualification For A Licensed Practical Nurse Antepartum Job At Orlando Health Is Holding A Valid And Current Lpn License In The State Of Florida. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met All The Necessary Requirements And Has The Necessary Skills To Practice As An Lpn In The State.
Experience In Antepartum Care: Candidates For This Position Should Have Previous Experience In Providing Care For Pregnant Women In The Antepartum Stage. This Includes Monitoring Vital Signs, Administering Medications, And Providing Emotional Support To Patients.
Knowledge Of Antepartum Procedures And Protocols: A Strong Understanding Of Antepartum Procedures And Protocols Is Essential For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Fetal Monitoring, Assessment Of Maternal And Fetal Well-Being, And Recognizing Signs Of Potential Complications.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Lpn In The Antepartum Unit, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Both Patients And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Providing High-Quality Care And Building Positive Relationships With Patients And Colleagues.
