
Learning Specialist - Intensive Care Unit

- Develop and implement educational programs to support the growth and development of ICU staff.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to identify training needs and create effective learning solutions.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and other educational events to enhance the skills and knowledge of ICU staff.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve learning outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in training and development.
- Utilize various instructional techniques and methods to engage and motivate learners.
- Create and maintain training materials, resources, and tools for ongoing learning and development.
- Foster a positive learning environment and provide support and guidance to learners.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation of new ICU staff to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement strategies for continuous learning and professional development.
- Track and report on training metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for ICU staff on training and development topics.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent Orlando Health's commitment to excellence in healthcare.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the overall improvement of the Learning and Development program.

In-Depth Knowledge Of Critical Care Nursing: A Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Background In Critical Care Nursing, Including Experience In Intensive Care Unit (Icu) Settings. This Will Ensure That They Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Unique Challenges And Demands Of Working In The Icu.
Specialized Training And Education: A Learning Specialist In The Icu Should Possess Specialized Training And Education In Critical Care, Such As A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing With A Focus On Critical Care, Or Certification As A Critical Care Registered Nurse (Ccrn).
Experience In Staff Development And Education: This Role Requires The Ability To Design, Implement, And Evaluate Education Programs For Icu Staff. Therefore, Candidates Should Have Prior Experience In Staff Development And Education, Preferably In An Icu Setting.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Learning Specialist Will Be Responsible For Training And Educating Icu Staff, Which Requires Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Convey Complex Information And Foster A Positive Learning Environment.
Ability To Adapt To Changing Environments: The Icu Is A Fast-Paced And Constantly Evolving Environment. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Adapt Quickly To Changing Conditions And Be Comfortable Working In A High-Stress Environment. They Should Also Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Effectively.
