- Perform phlebotomy services on patients in a timely and accurate manner, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist with laboratory operations, including sample processing, data entry, and inventory management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all infection control and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff.
- Ensure all samples are properly labeled, stored, and transported according to established protocols.
- Adhere to quality control and quality assurance measures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with sample collection, processing, or equipment.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all procedures and results.
- Participate in training and continuing education to stay current on industry developments and best practices.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide the best possible patient care.
- Follow all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering necessary supplies and equipment.
- Respond to emergency situations and perform phlebotomy services as needed.
- Comply with all hospital policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager or supervisory staff.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Certification In Phlebotomy From A Recognized Organization, Such As The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Phlebotomist In A Clinical Or Hospital Setting.
Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Protocols And Procedures, Including Proper Handling And Disposal Of Hazardous Materials.
Familiarity With Various Types Of Laboratory Equipment And Ability To Troubleshoot And Perform Routine Maintenance.
