  1. Perform accurate and timely processing of patient samples according to established laboratory procedures.
  2. Ensure proper labeling, storage, and maintenance of specimens to maintain sample integrity.
  3. Utilize electronic medical records and laboratory information systems to accurately record and track patient samples.
  4. Follow all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  5. Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, healthcare team members, and patients to provide timely and accurate test results.
  6. Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  7. Assist with inventory management and ordering of laboratory supplies and reagents.
  8. Adhere to all quality control and quality assurance standards to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  9. Participate in proficiency testing and maintain competency in all laboratory procedures.
  10. Assist with training and orientation of new laboratory staff.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  12. Keep accurate and detailed records of all laboratory procedures and results.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities to improve laboratory processes and streamline workflow.
  14. Stay updated on industry advancements and changes in laboratory procedures and technologies.
  15. Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Laboratory Assistant Or In A Related Field.

  • Associate's Degree In A Science-Related Field Or Completion Of A Certified Laboratory Assistant Program.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Safety Procedures And Protocols.

  • Ability To Multitask And Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Other Healthcare Professionals And Patients.
