1. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room for labor and delivery procedures.
2. Set up and maintain sterile field and instrumentation for surgical procedures.
3. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure proper patient positioning and draping.
4. Anticipate and provide necessary instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
5. Handle and care for surgical specimens according to established procedures.
6. Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout the surgical procedure.
7. Assist with the safe and efficient transfer of patients to and from the operating room.
8. Communicate effectively with the surgical team, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
9. Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and supplies used.
10. Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety standards.
11. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on new techniques and technology.
12. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during labor and delivery procedures.
13. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
14. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
15. Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
16. Continuously assess and improve upon job performance and patient care.
17. Act as a role model for other staff members by demonstrating professionalism and a strong work ethic.
