As a Lab Supervisor, you will oversee the operations and staff of our laboratory department, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely test results.   1. Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory department, including scheduling of staff, managing inventory, and maintaining equipment.
  2. Ensure that all laboratory procedures and protocols are followed by staff to maintain accuracy and precision in test results.
  3. Train and supervise laboratory staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest level of performance and efficiency.
  4. Monitor quality control measures and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain accurate and reliable test results.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and efficient delivery of test results.
  6. Maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies, ensuring that the laboratory is up to date with all required certifications and licenses.
  7. Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff and patients within the laboratory.
  8. Monitor and manage laboratory budget, including purchasing supplies and equipment, to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and new technologies, and make recommendations for their implementation in the laboratory.
  10. Act as a liaison between the laboratory and other departments, communicating effectively to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
  11. Investigate and resolve any issues or errors in test results, working closely with staff to identify and implement solutions.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth among laboratory staff.
  13. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff for their development and improvement.
  14. Represent the laboratory and Orlando Health in a professional and positive manner, promoting the organization's mission and values.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With Prior Experience In A Supervisory Role.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Regulations And Accreditation Standards, Such As Clia And Cap.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Medical Staff And Other Departments.
