  1. Perform routine maintenance and repair of medical imaging equipment, including x-ray machines, MRI scanners, and ultrasound machines.
  2. Conduct preventative maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify potential issues.
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, and determine appropriate solutions to minimize downtime.
  4. Respond to service requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
  5. Communicate effectively with clinical staff and other team members to coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance schedules.
  6. Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service calls in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  7. Maintain an inventory of equipment parts and supplies, and ensure proper stock levels are maintained.
  8. Stay current with industry developments and technological advancements in medical imaging equipment.
  9. Participate in special projects and initiatives related to clinical engineering, such as equipment upgrades and installations.
  10. Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols while working on medical equipment.
  11. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers by responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
  12. Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to obtain technical support and resolve equipment issues.
  13. Train and mentor other clinical engineering technicians on equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
  14. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including those related to confidentiality and patient privacy.

Job Qualifications
  • Education And Training: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electrical Engineering, Or A Related Field Is Required. Additional Training And Certifications In Medical Imaging Equipment Is Preferred.

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working With Medical Imaging Equipment, Including Troubleshooting, Maintenance, And Repairs Is Required. Experience In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting Is Preferred.

  • Technical Knowledge: Extensive Knowledge Of Various Medical Imaging Equipment, Including X-Ray Machines, Mri And Ct Scanners, Ultrasound Machines, And Nuclear Medicine Equipment Is Required. Knowledge Of Electronic And Mechanical Systems, As Well As Computer Networking And Software, Is Also Necessary.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: The Ability To Troubleshoot And Diagnose Complex Technical Issues With Medical Imaging Equipment Is Crucial In This Role. Candidates Should Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills And The Ability To Work Independently To Find Solutions.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As Part Of A Larger Healthcare Team, Imaging Service Clinical Engineering Technicians Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills. This Includes The Ability To Communicate Technical Information To Non-Technical Staff, As Well As Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals To Ensure The Safe And Effective Use Of Medical Imaging Equipment.
