
Graduate Nurse Coordinator

- Oversee the successful transition of new graduate nurses into the organization.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and leadership team to develop and implement orientation and training programs for new graduate nurses.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for new graduate nurses, providing guidance and support as they navigate their first year of practice.
- Conduct regular check-ins with new graduate nurses to assess their progress and address any concerns or challenges they may be facing.
- Coordinate with unit managers to ensure new graduate nurses are adequately supported and integrated into their assigned units.
- Develop and maintain relationships with nursing schools and educational programs to recruit top talent and promote the organization as a desirable employer for new graduates.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection process for new graduate nurses, including participating in interviews and reviewing resumes.
- Collaborate with education and training departments to ensure new graduate nurses receive ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to new graduate nurse programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Promote a positive and supportive work environment for all nurses, with a focus on fostering collaboration and teamwork.
- Serve as a liaison between new graduate nurses and other departments to ensure a smooth and seamless onboarding process.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to new graduate nurse orientation, training, and progress.
- Participate in departmental and organizational committees and initiatives aimed at improving patient care and employee satisfaction.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as state and federal laws related to nursing practice.
- Continuously assess and improve the new graduate nurse program to meet the changing needs and demands of the organization.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing: The Graduate Nurse Coordinator Should Possess A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited University. This Degree Will Provide The Necessary Foundation For The Candidate To Understand The Complexities Of The Healthcare Industry And The Role Of A Nurse Coordinator.
Active Rn License: A Valid And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License Is A Must For A Graduate Nurse Coordinator Position At Orlando Health. This License Ensures That The Candidate Has Met All The Necessary Requirements To Practice As A Nurse And Is Well-Versed In Nursing Standards, Protocols, And Procedures.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Candidates With Prior Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinic, Will Be Preferred For The Graduate Nurse Coordinator Position. This Experience Will Give The Candidate An Understanding Of The Dynamics Of A Healthcare Environment And The Challenges That Come With It.
