- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using the electronic scheduling system.
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary copays or fees.
- Maintain patient records and ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
- Communicate with physicians and medical staff to ensure timely and efficient patient care.
- Manage and organize patient charts and medical documents.
- Monitor and order office supplies as needed.
- Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other front office staff and medical personnel to ensure smooth operations and patient flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office area.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

- Other duties as assigned by the office manager or supervisor.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Front Office Assistant At Jewett Orthopedic Institute Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Experience With Electronic Medical Records: Orlando Health Uses Electronic Medical Records For Patient Documentation, So Experience With These Systems Is A Key Qualification For This Position.
