  1. Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients.
  3. Verify patient information and insurance coverage.
  4. Collect and process patient payments.
  5. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  6. Keep front office area clean and organized.
  7. Assist with office administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of appointments.
  9. Handle patient concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  11. Stay up-to-date with department policies, procedures, and protocols.
  12. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient privacy.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  14. Attend staff meetings and participate in training sessions.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For This Position Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Basic Education And Can Effectively Communicate And Perform Administrative Tasks.

  • Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Particularly In An Ambulatory Imaging Or Front Office Role, Is Preferred. This Experience Provides The Candidate With Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Patient Registration Procedures, And Familiarity With Electronic Medical Records.

  • Strong Customer Service Skills: As The First Point Of Contact For Patients, The Front Office Assistant Must Have Excellent Customer Service Skills. This Includes Being Able To Communicate Effectively, Handle Difficult Situations, And Maintain A Friendly And Professional Demeanor.

  • Organizational And Multitasking Abilities: The Front Office Assistant Will Be Responsible For Managing Multiple Tasks Simultaneously, Such As Answering Phone Calls, Scheduling Appointments, And Handling Patient Inquiries. Therefore, Strong Organizational And Multitasking Abilities Are Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Proficiency In Computer And Office Software: This Position Requires The Use Of Various Computer And Office Software, Such As Microsoft Office And Electronic Medical Record Systems. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Strong Computer Skills And The Ability To Quickly Learn And Adapt To New Software Programs.
