- Perform daily floor cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients and residents.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to maintain a high level of cleanliness and infection control.
- Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to identify any maintenance or safety concerns and report them to the appropriate personnel.
- Utilize various cleaning equipment and supplies to effectively clean and disinfect floors, carpets, and other surfaces.
- Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels to ensure availability for daily cleaning tasks.
- Communicate with other team members to coordinate cleaning schedules and prioritize tasks.
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, residents, and visitors by being friendly, helpful, and professional.
- Attend and participate in trainings and meetings related to cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling patient and resident information.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the organization to patients, residents, and visitors.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and share suggestions with management to enhance the quality of services provided.
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Floor Tech At A Skilled Nursing Facility Should Have A Minimum Of A High School Education Or Equivalent To Ensure Basic Educational Requirements Are Met.
Previous Experience In Healthcare Or Housekeeping: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Housekeeping Or Environmental Services, To Understand The Unique Needs And Requirements Of A Skilled Nursing Facility.
Knowledge Of Infection Control And Safety Protocols: Floor Techs Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Infection Control And Safety Protocols To Maintain A Clean And Safe Environment For Patients, Staff, And Visitors.
Ability To Operate Cleaning Equipment: Candidates Should Have Experience And Be Comfortable Operating Various Cleaning Equipment, Such As Floor Buffers, Vacuums, And Carpet Cleaners, To Effectively And Efficiently Maintain The Facility.
Physical Strength And Stamina: The Role Of A Floor Tech Can Be Physically Demanding, Requiring Candidates To Be Able To Lift And Move Heavy Objects, Stand For Extended Periods, And Perform Repetitive Tasks. Therefore, Candidates Should Have The Physical Strength And Stamina Necessary To Fulfill The Job Duties.
