We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Level IV.   1. Provide exceptional patient care to newborns in the NICU Level IV unit.
  2. Monitor and assess the condition of neonatal patients, including vital signs, lab results, and signs of distress.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor for adverse reactions.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  6. Communicate with patients and their families to provide education, support, and updates on the patient's condition.
  7. Respond to emergencies and provide immediate nursing interventions when necessary.
  8. Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to maintain and improve nursing skills and knowledge.
  10. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  11. Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed and their rights are respected.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
  13. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  14. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in performance improvement activities.
  15. Serve as a mentor and resource to new and less experienced nurses on the unit.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution: An Experienced Registered Nurse In Nicu Level Iv At Orlando Health Should Have A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Is Equipped With The Necessary Theoretical Knowledge And Practical Skills To Provide High-Quality Care To Newborns In The Nicu.

  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Florida: In Order To Practice As A Registered Nurse At Orlando Health, Candidates Must Possess A Current Rn License In The State Of Florida. This Ensures That The Candidate Meets The Minimum Requirements Set By The State For Practicing Nursing And Is Legally Authorized To Provide Healthcare Services In The Nicu.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Level Iv Nicu Setting: Orlando Health Is Seeking An Experienced Registered Nurse Who Has A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Level Iv Nicu Setting. This Experience Demonstrates That The Candidate Has A Strong Understanding Of The Complex Needs Of Critically Ill Newborns And Is Familiar With The Specialized Equipment And Protocols Used In A Level Iv Nicu.

  • Certification In Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (Rnc-Nic): A Certification In Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (Rnc-Nic) Is Highly Preferred For This Position. This Certification Is Awarded By The National Certification Corporation And Demonstrates A Nurse's Expertise And Specialized Knowledge In Caring For Critically Ill Newborns.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: As An Experienced Registered Nurse In Nicu Level Iv At Orlando Health, The Candidate Must Possess Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills. This Is Essential For Effectively Collaborating With The Multidisciplinary Team And Making Critical Decisions In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
