
Environmental Technician III

- Conduct regular inspections of Orlando Health facilities and surrounding areas to identify any environmental hazards or concerns.
- Develop and implement effective and sustainable environmental practices and protocols to reduce waste, conserve resources, and promote a healthier environment.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental regulations and laws.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure that environmental standards are met and maintained throughout the organization.
- Conduct research and stay updated on current environmental trends and best practices in order to continuously improve our sustainability efforts.
- Train and educate staff on proper environmental practices and procedures, including waste management, recycling, and energy conservation.
- Respond to environmental emergencies and incidents promptly and effectively, following established protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of environmental activities and reports.
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote environmental awareness and engage with the local community.
- Continuously identify and implement ways to improve the environmental impact of Orlando Health facilities and operations.
- Proactively identify potential environmental risks and take necessary actions to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source environmentally-friendly products and services.
- Communicate and work closely with environmental agencies and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input and feedback on environmental initiatives and projects.
- Act as a role model for environmental responsibility and encourage others to do the same.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Biology, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Diverse Team.
Knowledge Of Environmental Regulations And Compliance Standards, Including Osha And Epa.
Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Perform Environmental Testing And Analysis.
