- Maintain Clean and Sanitary Environment: The Environmental Technician I will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the hospital are cleaned and sanitized according to established protocols. This includes patient rooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces.
- Follow Safety Protocols: The technician will adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Perform Routine Cleaning Tasks: This role will involve performing routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and restocking supplies to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Handle Waste Disposal: Proper disposal of waste is critical in a healthcare setting. The Environmental Technician I will be responsible for safely handling and disposing of all waste, including hazardous materials.
- Monitor and Report Maintenance Needs: The technician will be responsible for monitoring the condition of equipment and facilities and promptly reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.
- Assist with Infection Control Measures: In addition to routine cleaning tasks, the technician will also assist with infection control measures such as disinfecting high-touch surfaces and implementing isolation protocols when necessary.

Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Biology, Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Environmental Regulations And Laws.
Previous Experience Conducting Environmental Monitoring, Sampling, And Inspections.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Working With Various Stakeholders.
Ability To Analyze And Interpret Data, And Make Recommendations For Environmental Improvements.
