Job Description

As an Environmental Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our facilities.   1. Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing tasks in assigned areas of the healthcare facility, including patient rooms, restrooms, common areas, and administrative offices.
  2. Follow established protocols and guidelines for proper cleaning techniques, waste management, and infection control.
  3. Maintain inventory and restock supplies as needed to ensure adequate levels of cleaning materials, disinfectants, and personal protective equipment.
  4. Inspect and report any maintenance or safety issues to appropriate personnel.
  5. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners.
  6. Adhere to safety and security measures while on duty, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following proper disposal procedures for biohazardous materials.
  7. Collaborate with other environmental services staff and healthcare personnel to ensure a safe and clean environment is maintained at all times.
  8. Participate in training and educational programs to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff to address any concerns or requests in a timely and professional manner.
  10. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including attendance and punctuality standards.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  13. Follow through with special cleaning requests and complete tasks in a timely and thorough manner.
  14. Attend team meetings and provide input to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
  15. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Manager or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Biology, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Environmental Monitoring And Compliance.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Environmental Health And Safety.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Different Departments And Stakeholders.
