
Environmental Technician

- Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing tasks in assigned areas of the healthcare facility, including patient rooms, restrooms, common areas, and administrative offices.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines for proper cleaning techniques, waste management, and infection control.
- Maintain inventory and restock supplies as needed to ensure adequate levels of cleaning materials, disinfectants, and personal protective equipment.
- Inspect and report any maintenance or safety issues to appropriate personnel.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners.
- Adhere to safety and security measures while on duty, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following proper disposal procedures for biohazardous materials.
- Collaborate with other environmental services staff and healthcare personnel to ensure a safe and clean environment is maintained at all times.
- Participate in training and educational programs to enhance job knowledge and skills.
- Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff to address any concerns or requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including attendance and punctuality standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Follow through with special cleaning requests and complete tasks in a timely and thorough manner.
- Attend team meetings and provide input to promote a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the well-being of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Manager or supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Biology, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Environmental Monitoring And Compliance.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Environmental Health And Safety.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Different Departments And Stakeholders.
