
Endoscopy Technician

- Set up and prepare endoscopic equipment and supplies for procedures.
- Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by passing instruments and providing suction as needed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the physician.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures by providing appropriate positioning and monitoring.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment in the endoscopy suite.
- Troubleshoot and maintain endoscopic equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Educate patients on pre-procedure and post-procedure care instructions.
- Document and maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality and efficient care to patients.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Participate in departmental and hospital quality improvement initiatives.
- Continuously expand knowledge and skills through education and training opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure a positive experience.
- Comply with all hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Certified Endoscopy Technician: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Valid Certification As An Endoscopy Technician From An Accredited Institution.
Experience In Endoscopy Procedures: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Performing Endoscopy Procedures In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting Is Required.
Knowledge Of Endoscopy Equipment: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Endoscopy Equipment And Its Proper Use, Maintenance, And Troubleshooting.
Attention To Detail: Endoscopy Technicians Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure Proper Preparation And Positioning Of Patients, As Well As Accurate Documentation Of Procedures.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential For An Endoscopy Technician, As They Will Be Working Closely With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals During Procedures.
