Orlando Health is seeking an EKG Technician to join our team on a per diem basis during day shifts. As an EKG Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely electrocardiogram (EKG) readings to help diagnose and treat patients with heart conditions. We are looking for candidates who are certified and have experience in performing EKGs, as well as possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.   1. Conduct accurate and timely electrocardiogram (EKG) readings for patients.
  2. Ensure patient comfort and safety during EKG procedures.
  3. Follow established protocols and procedures for conducting EKGs.
  4. Maintain and troubleshoot EKG equipment as needed.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare team members, and physicians.
  6. Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  7. Document EKG results accurately in patient records.
  8. Monitor and report any abnormal EKG findings to the appropriate healthcare team members.
  9. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
  10. Keep updated on industry developments and advancements in EKG technology.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide quality care to patients.
  12. Display professionalism and compassion towards patients and their families.
  13. Adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
  14. Attend required training and educational programs.
  15. Maintain current EKG Technician certification and any other required credentials.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification In Ekg Technology: Candidates Should Have A Valid Certification In Ekg Technology From A Recognized Institution Or Organization.

  • Previous Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Ekg Technician Is Preferred. This Experience Should Include Performing Ekgs, Stress Tests, And Holter Monitoring.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Equipment: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Be Familiar With The Various Types Of Ekg Equipment And Procedures.

  • Attention To Detail: The Ability To Accurately And Consistently Interpret Ekg Readings And Identify Abnormalities Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Work With Precision.

  • Communication And Teamwork Skills: As An Ekg Technician, You Will Work Closely With Other Healthcare Professionals, So Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Necessary. Candidates Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients And Colleagues And Work Collaboratively In A Fast-Paced Environment.
