We are currently seeking a skilled Echo/Vascular Sonographer I to join our team at the Health Central Cardio Diagnostics department. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise in ultrasound imaging to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.   1. Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging procedures on patients in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Utilize advanced knowledge of ultrasound equipment and techniques to accurately diagnose and evaluate a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging protocols and provide accurate and timely results.
  4. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  5. Ensure patient comfort and confidentiality at all times during the imaging process.
  6. Accurately record and maintain patient records and imaging data.
  7. Continuously monitor and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  8. Keep up-to-date with advancements and changes in the field of sonography, and integrate new techniques and technologies into daily practice.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide excellent customer service and promote positive patient experiences.
  10. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, related to ultrasound imaging.
  11. Maintain current certifications and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success and growth of the department.
  13. Act as a mentor and resource for other team members, including new sonographers and students.
  14. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Orlando Health, and promote a culture of excellence and compassion in patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field.

  • Current Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Rdms) In Both Echocardiography And Vascular Ultrasound.

  • At Least One Year Of Experience As An Echo/Vascular Sonographer In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Medical Terminology Related To Cardiovascular System.

  • Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Ultrasound Equipment, As Well As Analyzing And Interpreting Images And Data.
