  1. Develop and oversee the strategic direction of the Center for Nursing Research at Orlando Health.
  2. Lead and manage a team of researchers and support staff to conduct high-quality nursing research.
  3. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to identify research priorities and develop research initiatives that align with the organization's goals.
  4. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards in all research projects.
  5. Promote a culture of evidence-based practice by providing education and training to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
  6. Oversee the collection, analysis, and dissemination of research data to inform nursing practice and improve patient outcomes.
  7. Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in nursing research and incorporate them into the organization's research strategy.
  8. Foster partnerships and collaborations with external institutions and organizations to enhance the Center's research capabilities.
  9. Develop and manage the Center's budget, allocating resources effectively to support ongoing and future research projects.
  10. Communicate research findings and progress to key stakeholders, including senior leadership and the wider healthcare community.
  11. Evaluate the impact of the Center's research initiatives on the organization's nursing practices and make recommendations for improvement.
  12. Serve as a role model for ethical conduct and professional standards in all research activities.
  13. Participate in national and international conferences and events to showcase the Center's research and promote Orlando Health as a leader in nursing research.
  14. Mentor and support the professional development of nursing staff and junior researchers within the organization.
  15. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Orlando Health in all aspects of the role.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Nursing: The Ideal Candidate Should Hold A Master's Or Doctorate Degree In Nursing, With A Focus On Research Methodology And Evidence-Based Practice.

  • Extensive Research Experience: The Director Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Conducting Research In The Field Of Nursing, With A Track Record Of Successful Publications And Grant Funding.

  • Leadership Skills: The Role Of Director Requires Strong Leadership Abilities, Including The Ability To Manage And Motivate A Team Of Researchers, Collaborate With Other Departments, And Oversee The Center's Budget And Operations.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Environment: A Deep Understanding Of The Healthcare Industry, Particularly In The Areas Of Nursing Practice, Education, And Policy, Is Essential For The Director To Effectively Guide And Support Research Initiatives That Align With The Organization's Goals.
