Job Description

  1. Conduct nutrition assessments and develop personalized nutrition plans for patients based on their health needs and goals.
  2. Provide individual and group nutrition education and counseling to promote healthy lifestyle choices and prevent chronic diseases.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive wellness programs.
  4. Stay up-to-date on current research and trends in nutrition and wellness to provide evidence-based recommendations to patients and colleagues.
  5. Develop and implement strategies to reach and engage community members in promoting healthy nutrition habits.
  6. Participate in community outreach events and health fairs to educate the public on the importance of proper nutrition.
  7. Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting nutrition plans as needed to ensure optimal health outcomes.
  8. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and progress.
  9. Serve as a resource and mentor to other healthcare professionals on nutrition-related topics.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the provision of nutrition services.
  11. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to establish and implement policies and protocols related to nutrition and wellness.
  12. Participate in professional development activities to continuously enhance knowledge and skills in the field of nutrition and wellness.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to promote understanding and adherence to nutrition recommendations.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while representing Orlando Health and promoting health and wellness initiatives.
  15. Comply with all safety and infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Dietetics, Nutrition, Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current Registration And Licensure As A Dietitian In The State Of Florida.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience In Providing Nutrition Counseling And Education In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge And Expertise In Developing And Implementing Prevention And Wellness Programs.

  • Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Professionals To Promote Healthy Lifestyle Changes.
