
Departmental Quality Specialist (Microbiology)

- Develop and implement quality control measures for the Microbiology department to ensure accuracy and precision of laboratory test results.
- Monitor and analyze laboratory data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process enhancements.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of laboratory processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders and staff to create action plans for addressing any identified quality issues or gaps.
- Train laboratory personnel on quality assurance protocols and procedures to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct investigations and root cause analyses for any quality incidents or non-conformities, and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in microbiology quality assurance to continuously improve departmental processes.
- Serve as a liaison between the Microbiology department and other departments to facilitate communication and collaboration on quality improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and present reports on quality metrics and performance to departmental leadership and other stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the Microbiology department and across the organization.
Bachelor's Degree In Microbiology Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working In A Clinical Microbiology Laboratory.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Laboratory Quality Assurance And Quality Control Practices.
Familiarity With Regulatory Requirements And Accreditation Standards For Clinical Microbiology Testing.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Troubleshoot Issues In Laboratory Processes And Procedures.
