- Manage and maintain all database systems for Orlando Health, ensuring they are functioning efficiently and securely.
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Develop and implement data backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Monitor database usage and recommend improvements or upgrades as needed.
- Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of database systems with other applications.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
- Develop and maintain documentation for all database systems, including procedures, policies, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement data needs and requirements.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide support and troubleshoot any issues outside of regular business hours.
- Stay informed of industry trends and advancements in database technologies to continuously improve and enhance our systems.
- Train and mentor junior DBAs and provide guidance on best practices.
- Work with vendors to evaluate and implement new database technologies and tools.
- Ensure high levels of data availability and perform regular data backups and disaster recovery tests.
- Proactively identify and resolve any data integrity issues.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions.
- Adhere to company and industry standards and guidelines for database systems.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and security for all healthcare data.
- Continuously monitor and improve database performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to support database changes and upgrades.
- Keep up-to-date with industry certifications and attend training and conferences as necessary to stay current with database technologies and best practices.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Database Administration, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Proficiency In Database Management Systems Such As Oracle, Sql Server, And Mysql.
Strong Understanding Of Database Security, Backup And Recovery, And Performance Tuning.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment.
