
Cytotechnologist (PRN)

- Conduct cytological examinations and analyses on patient samples to detect abnormalities and aid in disease diagnosis.
- Perform complex and specialized procedures, including staining, microscopy, and image analysis, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ensure proper handling and processing of samples to maintain their integrity and quality.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Adhere to all safety and quality control protocols to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with other members of the laboratory team to ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results.
- Keep abreast of new technologies, techniques, and developments in the field of cytology to continuously improve and update skills and knowledge.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers by addressing any concerns or questions and ensuring timely and accurate reporting of results.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all procedures, results, and quality control measures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in the development and implementation of new protocols and procedures.
- Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure compliance and uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Bachelor's Degree In Cytotechnology Or Related Field.
Certification As A Cytotechnologist By The American Society For Clinical Pathology (Ascp).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Cytotechnologist In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.
Proficiency In Performing And Interpreting Cytological Tests, Including Pap Smears, Fine Needle Aspirations, And Body Fluid Analysis.
Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Work Independently In A Fast-Paced Environment.
