Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans on patients as ordered by physicians, ensuring accurate and high-quality images are obtained.
- Follow protocols and safety measures to protect patients and staff during imaging procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for CT scans, providing clear instructions and answering any questions they may have.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to accurately interpret and report on CT scan results.
- Maintain and operate CT equipment, performing regular quality control checks and promptly reporting any malfunctions or issues.
- Assist with procedures such as biopsies and drainage, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of patient information, images, and procedures performed.
- Educate patients on imaging procedures and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Attend regular training and education sessions to stay current with new technology and techniques in CT imaging.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Adhere to all HIPAA and privacy regulations, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Provide exceptional patient care, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and professionalism.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow departmental policies and procedures, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required by management.
Certification As A Radiologic Technologist By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Ct Technologist In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting.
Current Bls And Acls Certifications.
Knowledge Of Current Ct Imaging Technology And Protocols.
Ability To Work Independently And Adapt To Changing Work Schedules And Environments.
