  1. Respond to emergency medical calls and provide critical care transport services to patients in need.
  2. Perform advanced life support treatments and procedures, such as administering medications, IV therapy, and airway management.
  3. Monitor and assess patient conditions during transport, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  4. Communicate effectively with other medical professionals, including doctors and nurses, to provide the best possible care for patients.
  5. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and transport activities.
  6. Ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of all medical equipment and supplies used during transport.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of both patients and transport team members.
  8. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during transport.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in emergency medical services.
  10. Collaborate with other members of the medical team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  11. Demonstrate exceptional communication and teamwork skills to effectively work with other paramedics and medical professionals.
  12. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times while representing Orlando Health.
  13. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  14. Continuously strive to improve and enhance the quality of care provided to patients.
  15. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed to ensure round-the-clock coverage.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Paramedic Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Paramedic Certification From An Accredited Institution. This Certification Must Be Kept Current And In Good Standing Throughout Their Employment With Orlando Health.

  • Advanced Life Support (Als) Certification: The Candidate Must Have A Current Als Certification, Which Includes Advanced Airway Management, Cardiac Monitoring, And Medication Administration. This Certification Must Also Be Kept Current And In Good Standing Throughout Their Employment.

  • Critical Care Transport (Cct) Certification: The Candidate Must Have A Current Cct Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The Board For Critical Care Transport Paramedic Certification. This Certification Demonstrates Advanced Knowledge And Skills In Critical Care Transport And Must Be Maintained Throughout Employment.

  • Minimum Experience: The Candidate Must Have A Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience As A Paramedic, And At Least 1 Year Of Experience In Critical Care Transport. This Experience Must Be In A High-Volume, Fast-Paced Environment, Such As An Emergency Department, Icu, Or A Busy Ambulance Service.

  • Clear Background Check: The Candidate Must Undergo A Thorough Background Check And Drug Screening. Any History Of Criminal Activity Or Drug Use May Disqualify The Candidate From The Position. Additionally, A Clean Driving Record And Current Driver's License Are Required.
