- Provide safe and efficient transportation of critically ill patients to our facilities.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of critical care protocols and procedures.
- Assess and monitor patient's condition during transport, and make necessary adjustments to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to coordinate and execute patient transport plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers to provide updates and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and transport.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
- Remain up-to-date on current practices and advancements in critical care and transportation techniques.

Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn): A Minimum Of A Bsn Is Required For The Critical Care Ground Transport Rn Position At Orlando Health. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory, Research, And Evidence-Based Practice, Which Is Essential For Providing High-Quality Patient Care.
Current Rn Licensure: Candidates Must Have A Current And Active License As A Registered Nurse (Rn) In The State Of Florida. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met All State Requirements For Practicing Nursing And Is In Good Standing With The State Licensing Board.
Critical Care Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Critical Care Setting, Such As An Intensive Care Unit (Icu) Or Emergency Department (Ed). This Experience Prepares Nurses To Handle Complex And Unstable Patients, Which Is Crucial In The Fast-Paced Environment Of Ground Transport.
Acls And Pals Certification: The Critical Care Ground Transport Rn Must Be Certified In Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals). These Certifications Demonstrate The Candidate's Ability To Manage Cardiac Emergencies And Pediatric Patients, Which Are Common In Critical Care Situations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Critical Care Ground Transport Rn, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With A Multidisciplinary Team, Including Paramedics, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Effective Collaboration And Providing Safe And Efficient Patient Care.
