  1. Provide advanced medical care to critically ill or injured patients during ground transport.
  2. Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment and vehicles.
  3. Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical direction.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare team members.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient care.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  8. Document patient care and transport information accurately and thoroughly.
  9. Continuously assess and reassess patient needs throughout transport.
  10. Maintain knowledge and skills through ongoing training and education.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow all organizational policies and procedures.
  12. Remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
  13. Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
  14. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in the delivery of patient care.
  15. Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Paramedic Certification: A Critical Care Ground Transport Paramedic At Orlando Health Must Hold A Valid And Current Paramedic Certification From A Nationally Recognized Certifying Body, Such As The National Registry Of Emergency Medical Technicians (Nremt).

  • Advanced Life Support (Als) Training: Candidates Must Have Completed An Accredited Advanced Life Support Training Program, Such As Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (Pals).

  • Critical Care Emergency Medical Technician (Ccemt-P) Certification: This Advanced Certification Demonstrates A Candidate's Proficiency In Providing Critical Care During Transport, Including Advanced Airway Management, Medication Administration, And Invasive Procedures.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In A High-Volume Emergency Medical Service (Ems) Setting: Orlando Health Seeks Experienced Paramedics Who Have A Proven Track Record Of Providing Quality Care In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.

  • Valid Driver's License And Clean Driving Record: As A Critical Care Ground Transport Paramedic, The Candidate Must Be Able To Safely Operate An Ambulance And Adhere To All Traffic Laws While Transporting Patients. A Valid Driver's License And Clean Driving Record Are Essential Qualifications For This Role.
