- Perform routine maintenance and repair of medical equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety for patient use.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, and develop solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Conduct regular inspections and calibrations of equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment needs and provide recommendations for optimal use.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and changes in technology to ensure the most efficient and effective use of equipment.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of new equipment, ensuring it meets the needs of the organization.
- Develop and maintain documentation for equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory.
- Train and educate clinical staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Communicate and coordinate with external vendors for repairs, maintenance, and new equipment purchases.
- Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to troubleshoot and solve complex issues.
- Participate in projects and initiatives to improve the overall quality and efficiency of equipment maintenance processes.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA.

Bachelor's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Or Related Field: A Clinical Engineer Specialist At Orlando Health Is Required To Have A Bachelor's Degree In Biomedical Engineering Or A Related Field. This Education Provides A Strong Foundation In The Principles Of Engineering, Healthcare Technology, And Medical Device Regulation.
Minimum 3 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Engineering Role: Orlando Health Is Seeking Candidates With At Least 3 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Engineering Role. This Experience Should Include Working With Medical Equipment, Troubleshooting And Maintenance, And Ensuring Compliance With Safety And Quality Standards.
