In this role, you will work closely with the Nurse Manager to oversee the daily operations of the unit and ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.   1. Oversee daily operations of the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and ensure smooth functioning of the unit.
  2. Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of patient care.
  3. Supervise and provide guidance to nursing staff, ensuring their adherence to established protocols and best practices.
  4. Conduct regular rounds on the unit to assess patient care and identify areas of improvement.
  5. Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new nursing staff.
  6. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment.
  7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines.
  8. Handle patient and family concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and facilitate interdisciplinary communication.
  10. Participate in performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff.
  11. Promote a positive and supportive work environment for nursing staff.
  12. Stay updated on current healthcare trends and incorporate evidence-based practices into daily operations.
  13. Serve as a role model and mentor for nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development.
  14. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and unit activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of Florida.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.

  • Previous Leadership Or Management Experience In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience As A Registered Nurse In A Post Anesthesia Care Unit (Pacu) Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pacu Procedures, Protocols, And Safety Standards.
