- Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients, families, and staff in the WPH Spiritual Care department.
- Offer compassionate and empathetic counseling to those experiencing difficult times.
- Conduct spiritual assessments and develop care plans for patients and their families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address spiritual and emotional needs of patients.
- Facilitate religious services and rituals for patients and their families.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and families to express their spiritual needs.
- Act as a liaison between patients and their religious communities, if desired.
- Provide crisis intervention and grief support to patients and families.
- Document all interactions and interventions in patient charts.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards at all times.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance spiritual care skills.
- Collaborate with hospital staff to promote a holistic approach to patient care.
- Participate in hospital events and programs related to spiritual care.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Orlando Health.
- Continuously strive to improve the quality of spiritual care services provided.
Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Theology, Divinity, Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Ordination Or Endorsement From A Recognized Religious Organization.
At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Providing Spiritual Care And Counseling In A Healthcare Setting.
Demonstrated Knowledge And Understanding Of Various Faith Traditions And Ability To Provide Spiritual Support To Patients And Families From Diverse Backgrounds.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Members Of The Healthcare Team And Build Rapport With Patients And Families.
