  1. Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Assist patients with check-in and registration process.
  3. Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately.
  4. Schedule appointments and coordinate with other departments as needed.
  5. Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  6. Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  7. Administer medications and perform basic laboratory tests as directed by providers.
  8. Educate patients on procedures, medications, and self-care instructions.
  9. Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  10. Communicate effectively and collaborate with other members of the healthcare team.
  11. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and treatments.
  12. Follow all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  13. Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.
  14. Attend training and education sessions to stay current on medical procedures and protocols.
  15. Adhere to all policies and procedures of Orlando Health.
  16. Uphold the values of excellence, compassion, and teamwork in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
  17. Take initiative to identify and address any potential patient safety concerns.
  18. Assist with data collection and quality improvement initiatives.
  19. Maintain professional development by seeking out opportunities for growth and learning.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Training Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Recognized Medical Assistant Training Program From An Accredited Institution To Ensure They Possess The Necessary Knowledge And Skills For The Job.

  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Credential: The Ideal Candidate Should Hold A Valid Certification As A Cma From A Recognized Certifying Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt).

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Is Essential For A Certified Medical Assistant To Effectively Communicate With Healthcare Providers, Patients, And Other Staff Members.

  • Experience In A Clinical Setting: Prior Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Particularly In An Adult Medicine Practice, Is Preferred For This Position. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Handle Various Tasks And Responsibilities In A Fast-Paced Medical Environment.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Certified Medical Assistant, The Candidate Will Be Interacting With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Staff Members On A Daily Basis. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For Providing Quality Patient Care And Maintaining A Positive Working Environment.
