- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist patients with check-in and registration process.
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with other departments as needed.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer medications and perform basic laboratory tests as directed by providers.
- Educate patients on procedures, medications, and self-care instructions.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with other members of the healthcare team.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and treatments.
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Attend training and education sessions to stay current on medical procedures and protocols.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Orlando Health.

Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Training Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Recognized Medical Assistant Training Program From An Accredited Institution To Ensure They Possess The Necessary Knowledge And Skills For The Job.
Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Credential: The Ideal Candidate Should Hold A Valid Certification As A Cma From A Recognized Certifying Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt).
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Procedures: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Procedures Is Essential For A Certified Medical Assistant To Effectively Communicate With Healthcare Providers, Patients, And Other Staff Members.
Experience In A Clinical Setting: Prior Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Particularly In An Adult Medicine Practice, Is Preferred For This Position. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Handle Various Tasks And Responsibilities In A Fast-Paced Medical Environment.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Certified Medical Assistant, The Candidate Will Be Interacting With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Staff Members On A Daily Basis. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial For Providing Quality Patient Care And Maintaining A Positive Working Environment.
