- Provide high-quality medical care and support to patients in the Outpatient Cardiology department.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
- Perform various clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients.
- Educate and communicate with patients about their medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Keep abreast of current medical practices and procedures to continuously improve patient care.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during their healthcare journey.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and comply with all HIPAA regulations.

Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: A Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) At Orlando Health Must Have Completed An Accredited Program In Medical Assisting, Which Includes Coursework In Both Administrative And Clinical Tasks.
Certification From A Recognized Organization: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have A Valid Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The National Healthcareer Association (Nha).
Prior Experience In An Outpatient Cardiology Setting: As A Cma In An Outpatient Cardiology Department, It Is Essential To Have Prior Experience In A Similar Setting. This Includes Knowledge Of Cardiology Procedures, Equipment, And Terminology.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Role Of A Cma At Orlando Health Requires Frequent Interaction With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Rapport And Providing Quality Care.
Knowledge Of Electronic Health Records (Ehr) Systems: Orlando Health Utilizes Electronic Health Records To Manage Patient Information And Medical Records. A Qualified Cma Should Have Experience With Ehr Systems And Be Proficient In Using Them To Document Patient Encounters Accurately.
