Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: A Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) At Orlando Health Must Have Completed An Accredited Medical Assistant Program And Received Their Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt).
Experience In A Clinical Setting: A Cma At Orlando Health Must Have Previous Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Large Medical Facility. This Experience Will Ensure They Are Familiar With Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Equipment.
Knowledge Of Electronic Health Records (Ehr): Orlando Health Utilizes Electronic Health Records For All Patient Information And Documentation. A Cma Must Have Experience Using Ehr Systems And Be Proficient In Documenting Patient Information Accurately And Efficiently.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Orlando Health Requires All Cmas To Hold A Current Bls Certification. This Certification Ensures They Are Trained In Basic Life-Saving Techniques, Such As Cpr And First Aid, In Case Of Emergency Situations.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Cma At Orlando Health, One Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As They Will Be Interacting With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals On A Daily Basis.
