- Perform a variety of invasive cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, and interventional radiology procedures, with the utmost precision and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and technicians, to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of patient care.
- Operate and maintain complex medical equipment and technology, such as angiography machines, IVUS machines, and EP recording systems, to obtain accurate and high-quality images and data.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with patient preparation and positioning before, during, and after procedures.
- Follow established protocols and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of patients and staff during procedures.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate records of patient information, test results, and equipment maintenance.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on advancements in invasive cardiovascular technology and procedures.
- Adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards, including HIPAA and OSHA, to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a patient-centered approach, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and professionalism at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to address any concerns or questions and provide education and support as needed.
Education And Training: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Cardiovascular Technology Or A Related Field Is Required. Completion Of An Accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program Is Preferred.
Certification: Candidates Must Hold A Current Certification As A Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Rcis) From Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Cci) Or A Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (Rcvt) From The American Registry Of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (Ardms).
Experience: At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Cardiac Catheterization Lab Or Interventional Radiology Setting Is Preferred. Experience With Electrophysiology Procedures And Equipment Is Also Desirable.
Technical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Technical Skills In Operating And Troubleshooting Various Cardiovascular Equipment, Such As Angiography Machines, Ultrasound Equipment, And Electrophysiology Mapping Systems.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary For This Role. The Candidate Must Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Members Of The Healthcare Team. Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities Are Also Essential For This Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
