- Assist anesthesiologists in the preparation and administration of anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to anesthesia during surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including anesthesia plans and notes.
- Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia.
- Provide comfort and reassurance to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Stay up-to-date on current practices and techniques in anesthesia and implement them into practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
- Provide support and assistance to anesthesiologists as needed.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Demonstrate professionalism and compassion towards patients and their families.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field, Such As Biology Or Pre-Med, From An Accredited University.
Completion Of An Accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant Program, With A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience.
Certification As A Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (Caa) By The National Commission For Certification Of Anesthesiologist Assistants (Nccaa).
Current State Licensure As An Anesthesiologist Assistant.
Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
