Job Description

Orlando Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider Fellow to join our dynamic team of trauma surgeons.   1. Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced trauma surgery environment.
  2. Collaborate with a team of experienced trauma surgeons to assist in surgeries and procedures.
  3. Gain hands-on experience in a Level I Trauma Center under the guidance of experienced providers.
  4. Demonstrate a strong passion for patient care and a commitment to delivering compassionate and evidence-based treatment.
  5. Continuously learn and grow in knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training opportunities.
  6. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for patients, staff, and self.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of treatment plans and expectations.
  8. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  9. Comply with all organizational policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  10. Act as a mentor and role model for other healthcare professionals, including students and new team members.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of trauma surgery practices.
  12. Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all job duties and interactions.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Nursing Or Physician Assistant Studies: As An Advanced Practice Provider Fellow In Trauma Surgery, Candidates Should Have A Master's Degree In Nursing (Msn) Or Physician Assistant Studies (Pa) From An Accredited Program.

  • Current State Licensure And Certification: Candidates Should Hold A Current And Unrestricted State Licensure As A Nurse Practitioner (Np) Or Physician Assistant (Pa) In The State Of Florida. In Addition, They Should Hold Current Certification From A Recognized National Certification Body, Such As The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc) Or The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).

  • Prior Experience In Trauma Or Critical Care: Orlando Health Is Seeking Candidates Who Have Prior Experience In Trauma Or Critical Care Settings. This Experience Can Include Working As An Rn In An Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit, Or Trauma Center, Or Prior Experience As A Np Or Pa In A Trauma Or Surgical Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Advanced Practice Provider Fellow In Trauma Surgery, Candidates Should Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Team Members. This Includes The Ability To Collaborate And Work Closely With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Commitment To Lifelong Learning And Professional Development: Orlando Health Is Looking For Candidates Who Are Committed To Continuous Learning And Professional Development. This Includes A Willingness To Participate In Ongoing Education And Training Opportunities, As Well As Maintaining And Expanding Their Knowledge And Skills In Trauma Surgery.
