Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate relief Pharmacist to join our team. As a member of our pharmacy department, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients by ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care.   1. Dispensing Medications: The relief Pharmacist will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications to patients according to their prescribed dosage and instructions.
  2. Medication Safety: The Pharmacist will ensure the safety of patients by carefully reviewing each medication order for potential drug interactions, allergies, and appropriateness for the patient's condition.
  3. Patient Counseling: The Pharmacist will provide counseling to patients on their medications, including proper use, potential side effects, and any other relevant information.
  4. Adhering to Regulations: The Pharmacist will be responsible for following all state and federal regulations related to the dispensing and handling of medications.
  5. Collaborating with Healthcare Team: The relief Pharmacist will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  6. Inventory Management: The Pharmacist will be responsible for managing the inventory of medications, ensuring proper storage, and ordering medications as needed.
  7. Compounding Medications: The Pharmacist will be responsible for compounding medications as needed, following all safety protocols and maintaining accurate records.
  8. Documenting Patient Care: The Pharmacist will accurately document all patient interactions and interventions in the electronic health record, ensuring timely and thorough documentation.
  9. Staff Training and Education: The Pharmacist will participate in staff training and education programs to ensure the safe and effective use of medications throughout the hospital.
  10. Quality Improvement: The Pharmacist will actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety within the pharmacy department.
  11. Maintaining Professionalism: The Pharmacist will maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  12. Continuing Education: The Pharmacist will stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice through continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor Of Science In Pharmacy (B.s. Pharm) Or Doctor Of Pharmacy (Pharm.d.) Degree From An Accredited School Of Pharmacy.

  • Valid And Current State License To Practice Pharmacy In Oregon.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience As A Pharmacist In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills.

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With A Strong Attention To Detail And Accuracy In Dispensing Medications.
