Oregon Health & Science University is seeking a dedicated Cross Cultural Clinician (Bicultural QMHP) to join our team. As a Cross Cultural Clinician, you will have the opportunity to provide individualized, evidence-based treatment to clients from different cultural backgrounds. We are looking for someone who is not only clinically skilled, but also bicultural and able to navigate and understand the unique challenges faced by individuals from diverse communities.   1. Provide culturally competent mental health care to clients from diverse backgrounds.
  2. Utilize a strong understanding of the intersections between culture and mental health in assessments and treatment planning.
  3. Conduct individualized, evidence-based treatments for clients from various cultural backgrounds.
  4. Navigate and understand the unique challenges faced by individuals from diverse communities.
  5. Advocate for and promote mental wellness among diverse populations.
  6. Collaborate with other mental health professionals to ensure culturally competent care for all clients.
  7. Stay informed about cultural competency best practices and incorporate them into daily work.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
  9. Continuously assess and evaluate treatment progress and make necessary adjustments.
  10. Participate in regular training and professional development related to cultural competency and mental health care.
  11. Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for clients and colleagues.
  12. Act as a resource for colleagues on issues related to cultural competency and mental health care.
  13. Engage in outreach and education efforts to promote mental health awareness and reduce disparities in care.
  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of work.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Relevant Mental Health Field, Such As Psychology, Social Work, Or Counseling.

  • Active Licensure As A Qualified Mental Health Professional (Qmhp) In Oregon.

  • Fluency In At Least Two Cultural Or Linguistic Backgrounds, With A Focus On Providing Culturally Competent Care To Diverse Populations.

  • Demonstrated Experience Working With Individuals From Diverse Backgrounds, Including But Not Limited To Race, Ethnicity, Religion, Sexual Orientation, And Socioeconomic Status.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Culturally Responsive Therapeutic Approaches And A Commitment To Ongoing Education And Training In Cross-Cultural Competency.
