- Oversee the daily operations and functioning of the Pediatric Acute Care Surgical (PACS) unit
- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to OHSU policies and procedures
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care
- Mentor and support staff in their professional growth and development
- Monitor and manage unit budget, staffing, and resources
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare team to address any concerns or issues
- Utilize evidence-based practices to improve clinical outcomes and promote best practices within the unit
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and quality improvement projects
- Oversee and manage patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes
- Stay updated with current healthcare trends and incorporate them into the unit's operations
- Collaborate with other departments and units within OHSU to promote a cohesive and efficient healthcare system
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, compassion, and excellence in nursing practice.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution.
Valid And Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Oregon.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Pediatric Acute Care Surgical Nursing.
Previous Leadership Or Management Experience In A Healthcare Setting.
