Job Description

At Olsson, we are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Industrial Pipe Stress Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong aptitude for engineering and a drive to solve complex problems.We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable in the principles and regulations of pipe stress engineering and has at least 5 years of experience in the field. The candidate should have experience in pressure vessel design, pipe systems, and the ability to develop and analyze 3D piping models. The candidate should also have a strong understanding of design codes and standards such as ASME B31.3 & B31.8.We seek an individual with a highly motivated and collaborative personality who is able to communicate effectively and work within an interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for creating innovative solutions and be able to think critically and solve complex problems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and analyze 3D piping models based on ASME B31.3 & B31.8 codes and standards.
  2. Design and evaluate pressure vessels and pipe systems.
  3. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to create innovative solutions.
  4. Use critical thinking and problem solving skills to solve complex issues.
  5. Identify areas of improvement and suggest solutions.
  6. Monitor performance and ensure compliance with regulations.
  7. Prepare reports and documentation as needed.
  8. Keep up to date with the latest industry advancements.
